Tom turned on the song briefly to here the opening chords, then played what he thought he heard on the keys - B,F,D,E & F#,A, E
Cliff had learned the bass part a week before and played from what he could remember and him and Tom just tried looping it together to see what came up from it.
Rob was not allowed to hear before hand and just played along to keep the ideas new to try it from a different angle.
Take 2 starts with a little discussion about Kip Winger still performing the the song "She's only 17" at the age he is now.

We previously recorded this song in 7/4 time. That turned out to be a bit more difficult of a task than we meant for it to be.
So to make it easier we just decided to switch it to 4/4 time.
That got things moving a little bit quicker.
Eric played the guitar part that was on the keyboard for the choruses. Then what we tried to do is have Bryan play the lead line during the verses and the guitar did more of a 4/4 sort of rhythm that would carry on during that part to drive it. And then he would go back to playing the lead lines during the chorus.
Didn't set the level on the digital recorder so the quality is poor. This is just a reference
